360° VR TOURS

ARCHITECTURAL 360° VIRTUAL TOURS SERVICES FOR ARCHITECTS, REAL STATES, DESIGNERS AND DEVELOPERS. WE’RE ABOUT TO CREATING A PRECISE NON-EXISTENT WORLD.

One of the ways to present architectural structure or interior are virtual tours. They allow users to get acquainted with the object in greater depth due to moving around the scene instead of being limited by initially specified composition or angle as far as standard static rendering is concerned. In case with architectural 3d virtual tours, the audience will always be immersed in the image space and will be able to consider the different features of the presented property.

3d virtual reality tours are one of the exclusive choices in visualization practice. First of all, these services are more expensive than usual static 3d renderings. Secondly, an animation constitutes a suitable analogue. More often architectural and design agencies had their personal vision of camera spans and what should be seen by the viewer. At the same time, 360 virtual tours provide absolute freedom to the audience and allow them to see the object from desirable sides. Taking a virtual walk will let you focus on the things that are of a special interest for you.

Architectural 3d virtual tours are suitable both for exteriors and interiors, but still are more preferable for the first ones. As a rule, it is not a certain residential or commercial building, but the entire complex or district. It is crucial that exterior virtual tours can cover infrastructure and landscape design. Therefore, in case with exteriors, 3d virtual reality tours mostly pass through the adjacent territory, or through connecting objects between the architectural structures. For example, going around the residential complex, we always pass by or through parks, squares, alleys, children’s playgrounds, etc.

Regarding the interiors, the virtual tours allow users to make walkthroughs inside one room as well as the entire apartment or house. Also, the technology of virtual tours has gained special popularity in covid times, when virtual shopping tours began to be visualized. The most terrific thing is that customers have an opportunity to view the provided products.

Architectural rendering studios specialized not only in static images, but also in the entire range of panoramic services or visual presentations can provide services for the creation of 3d virtual reality tours. These tours are rather advantageous and quite popular among commercial real estate agencies. For example, when firms are looking for offices remotely, this is a handy solution as they can move throughout the office without using video. The video can show the current disadvantages of the office space while the tour can provide an example of a design concept that could be implemented and, as a result, it can increase the estimated cost of the space.

Two types of architectural 3d virtual tours

There are two absolutely different approaches to the tours:

First one  is using panoramas or pano. This 360 virtual tour is created  by the visualization company upon the agreement with the client on seting the camera viewpoints within the room. Thus, by moving along the given points, the viewer can embrace the potential of the entire space. Such scenes are created in standard rendering programs : 3ds max, corona renderer, fstorm and vr.

Second option  is vr tours. They are mostly created in unreal engine or unity. Unlike the panoramas, the user in this case has complete freedom to move around the space. He can make absolutely any steps, he can turn the camera in any direction and easily move around the scene. But unfortunately, such 3d virtual reality tours fall short of photorealism. By analogy, you will get the quality of modern computer games. Still, it is important to note that modern games, despite how much they have gone ahead, are still not completely photorealistic.

Thus, when deciding on a 3d virtual reality tour, the decision the client needs to take is  how the tour will interact with the user. So, are we ready to give the audience complete freedom, yielding a little to photorealism, or do we want to make extremely photorealistic pictures, but at the same time restrict the viewer along the given trajectory? This is the main question of 3d 360 virtual tours that absolutely all studios face.

Workflow

Panoramic 360 virtual tour workflow steps:

  • building the space of a scene, both for exterior and interior (depending on the project);
  • exposing light in it, creating the proper atmosphere (elaboration of shadows, the sky, the views from the window);
  • working with the camera setting, in other words, those points along which the user will move around 360-degree;
  • round of revision;
  • coordination with the client;

Then we move on to work with the color photorealistic previews and finally everything is going as in standard workflow.

Vr tours will differ in the following steps:

  • we will use other programs and engines;
  • the preparation and assembly of the scene itself will take more time and resources;
  • more difficult to make revisions related to both filling and texturing materials and colors.

All the rest will remain roughly the same.

The evo has a large set of works that have been completed for different firms in terms of architectural 3d virtual tours. Our company develops panoramic 3d and in near future we will develop fully vr tours. We are always ready to show our cases and surprise the client with its quality.
